INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The Off-Hour Deliveries (OHD) Incentive Program aims to help businesses switch their deliveries from daytime to nighttime hours. Beginning in 2024, DOT will offer one-time monetary incentives to help businesses make that transition. 

As much as $6M in incentive funding is available to reimburse businesses for a range of eligible investments in equipment and systems that enable OHD. Eligible expenses include access enhancements, security equipment, low-noise cargo handling equipment, and green delivery methods (e.g. cargo bikes, EV vans). 

In addition to incentives, we will provide other forms of support to help participants succeed with OHD, including technical assistance and guidance on best practices. 

The program is open to businesses of all sizes and specifically aims to help smaller businesses that face financial barriers to transitioning to OHD. 

The OHD Incentive Program aims to advance the following goals:

          Traffic Traffic and Emissions Reduction.

          Safety Safety Improvements.

           Sound Noise Mitigation.

 

Incentive Program Timeline

     •  Phase I Begins: August 19, 2024
     •  Question Submission Deadline: September 9, 2024
     •  Application Deadline:November 15
               - Application Period Is Now Closed.
     •  Award Notices & Onboarding: Winter 2025
     •  Incentives Disbursed & Data Sharing Starts: November 4, 2024
     •  Disbursement Period Ends: June 27, 2025   
     •  Phase I Data Sharing Concludes: Spring 2026

NYC DOT is offering a unique opportunity for businesses to receive one-time incentive payments by participating in Phase I of the OHD Incentive Program. To take advantage of this opportunity, businesses must apply, commit to a year of Off-Hour Deliveries, and share data with NYC DOT.

 

Phase I: Starting August 19, 2024

  • Incentives Available:  Up to $1.5 million in funds ready to be distributed!
  • Who Can Apply:  Open to all businesses, including current NYC DOT Off-Hour Deliveries (OHD) program participants.

  • Ready to Get Started?   Applications open on August 19, 2024, and will be reviewed in the order they are submitted.

 

Phase II: Building on Success

Phase II will be guided by the insights and successes gathered during Phase I.

  • Incentives Available: The remaining incentive funds will be available to help you further your success.
  • Who Can Apply: Open to all businesses, including Phase I participants.
